I am back....

So after some offline time in Eve with my accounts idling and being unpaid I found new interest in that game and instead lost interest in another.
That means.... No more WoW but in exchange so much more EVE again.... Yeeehaaaw, I welcome myself back and I must admit that my character is a really high trained badass who needs to do some killing after he brought in some money to play with...

I must say. It's good to be back

New me...

Well, basically it is the old me in new clothes so to speak.
I got another chance to redo the portrait which I will be stuck with forever and since i thought to old picture could have been done better i tokk the canche.
Did i use it to the better? Well, I dont really know. But i really like the "blind" eyes more and what i also didn't like was the too bright light.

So basically i only changed the eyes, let the rest as it was and gave him another jacket. A jacket with reflects his asian descent a bit more.

Not much more talk, heres the final picture (I thin kit is the final picture and we don't get any more chances to redo it).

Molten Core (pt2)

"Oh Yeah, nothings better than a goood nap at the right time" Sintei thought as he stood up a couple hours later.
He scratched his butt and pondered about wich route to take.Since he was in the corner where Garr used to live none of the elementals did find or was bold enough to even look for him .Maybe they didn't like to meet Garr or, even worse, his slayer.
Anyway, more killing needed to be done and Sintei ventured on to do what the gods told him all his life. Kill.
Just a little way around the corner he did indeed find another of those flamewalker would-be-commanders called Shazzrah. And just a few seconds later that one was as dead as the ones before, mangled in unspeakable ways. Just as Sintei cleaned his Axe, he was surprised by a monstrous wandering Fire Elemental. Little did he know that it was indeed the once mighty and feared Baron Geddon.

Baron Geddon, Lord of the Fire Elementals

Sintei was a bit puzzled, he had exhausted his powers quite a bit while he made whort work of Shazzrah. But he couldn`t evade th patrolling Geddon to recuperate so it had to be done like this. A fight ensued wich raged for some time and slowly it looked very grim for the bold Orc. But it also looked grim for the Baron and with a last ditch effort the warrior was able to sever Geddons bracers from his body and by doing this Geddons essence evaporated almost instantly, leaving only his bracers on the ground.

Still burning a little from Geddons fiery and furious attacks Sintei went on. He had no time to lose and what is bit burned skin to an Orc Warrior? Nothing but a nice scar to show off at the bar. But this were only minor thoughts. His main concern was what still lied before him. And so he did not hesitate to get on his way. Still two Flamewalker Commander and another Elemental were left to kill. Sulfuron Harbinger should be the first one to die since he was only a short walk around the corner. This time they seemed to be prepared as he was accompanied by a pack of four healers.  "Impressive..." Sintei said out loud, while he wasn't impressed at all.Two quick minutes later the Flamewalkers were the ones that were impressed. Only with the minor inconvenience that this impression was deeply carved in their flesh.
"Jeeez that was easy" Sintei thought to himself with a grin on his face while he was already halfway to the last Elemental Lord, the mighty Golemagg.

Golemagg the Incinerator

He had two vicous looking hounds with him and rumors had it the could not be killed unless he was killed. "So it shall be!" Sintei shouted while he charged in and started to hack vicously into the glowing stone body of Golemagg while the hounds proceeded to spew their hot fiery breath into Sinteis face. This fight was the hardest single fight so far but even this gigantic Stone Elemental Lord could not best the Orc Warrior in combat and when life faded from him his hounds vanished and it was as if they never existed.

Now only one Flamewalker Commander was left. It was Majordomus Executus, right hand of Ragnaros. Sintei climbed the little hill and realized that this one was even more "prepared" than the last one. Four healers as well as a pack of four bodyguards were at his side.
"Stand back, and go were you belong. You have no right to be here and if you do not obey i am forced to end your life right now and right here!!!" Majordomus shouted. Just in the second when he wanted to give the command to attack a flying axe slashed into the head of the healer to his right killing him instantly and before he fell to the ground Sintei jumped with a heroic leap into the frey pulling out his axe while doing that.
"Kill him, for Ragnaros' sake .. PUT HIM OUT OF HIS MISERY!!!" Majordomus voice was furious. And as he was forced to watch how Sintei hacked and slashed his way through his minions he became overwhelmed with fear. The moment the last of his bodyguards fell, Majordomus was already in full retreat, seeking protection in Ragnaros lair.
"I pity the fool." Sintei mumbled when he easily followd the trail of the last flamewalker to the pool where Ragnaros was presumed to dwell.
The moment the Orc Warrior entered the humongous cave, the Lava started to boil and in a magnificent display it towered high into the air, forming the master of Molten Core in a whirling tornado of molten lava.
Ragnaros

His first move was to smash his useless commander Majordomus Executus leaving only a puddle of blood.
"So here you are Sintei of the Orcs... Unfortunately you will not see the day a single mortal will best me in combat. NOBODY CAN KILL ME!!!" With this words he raised his mighty Mace above his head. Sintei gripped his axes tight and with a battlecry that would shatter the moral of entire armies he stormed into the glowing torrents of lava. There cannot be told much about the fight as the Warrior was engulfed in flowing lava all the time. Once or twice Ragnaros tried to throw him high into the air but every time he tried the Orc managed to evade his grip and charge right back into the Fire Lord. After a time wich felt like an eternity, Ragnaros let out a bone shattering scream and the towring Lava lost its cohesion and fell back into toe pool. Only the mace of Ragnaros remained as a proof of his death and crushed into the floor right in front of Sintei.

"Not so mighty anymore it seems..." Sintei couldn´t help but to grin all over his face while he sheathed his axe and remained a while to look at the mace. He knew, that Ragnaros was right. No human could kill Ragnaros. He can be banished for a while but his essence would remain in the caves of molten core. It would not only bring Ragnaros back to life but all his minions too. None the less Sinteis efforts were not in vain, as it was a clear signal to the Lord of Molten Core that a mere single mortal could come, enter his realm and literally whipe the floor with him and all his minions.

Whistleing a little song Sintei went back to Orgrimmar, sporting some new scars to tell of this adventure. The city of the orcs was brimming with life and Sintei went straight to his favourite place, a little tavern where he often was. He sat down and the barkeeper brought him his usual choice of orc beer (wich was not as good as the dwarven beer but so much stronger) and a pipe with some of the best goblin weed gold could buy.... and gold was something Sintei had in abundance from his little adventure.
"I should do this more often..." he thought
"Or maybe i can go somehwere else..." he took a big puff from his pipe.
"Karazhan does sound good...."

He lost this thought for the moment when the door flew open and one of the biggest Tauren ever came in and went over to the table where Sintei sat. His Hand , as big as a gnome, came crushing down on Sintei's back, wich would have knocked out a lesser man.
"Sintei you son of a boar, where have you been the last two days? I was already thinking the Goblins got´cha!" The Tauren said while he sat down and winked in the direction of the barkeeper for some more beer and weed.
For the rest of the night they sat in that tavern, chatting on about the happenings of the past days and about future endeavours.

Molten Core

Molten Core.

Ragnaros.

Stories about that legendary place and its fiery master lurked in Sintei’s head for a long time. Legends about the servant of the old gods, who once again threatened to wage war on Azeroth and to launch a devastating attack on the World Tree in order to burn him and with him all life into oblivion.  So the day came when Sintei found himself in front of the doors which led into the belly of Blackrock Mountain where talk had it, that Molten Core can be found deep within. It was a deadly looking place and the fumes and stenches were almost breathtaking. But that could not stop the lone warrior now. Now, that he had himself completely dedicated to the task to challenge and to defeat the mighty Ragnaros.

The Entrance to Black Rock Mountain

The entrance was quickly found as there were not made much efforts to hide it in any way. It was a huge cavern burned into the mountain and filled to the brim with lower servants of the fiery lord. Molten Giants, Firelords, Ancient Core Hounds and other beings lurked everywhere.
Since all of the commanders of the fiery swarms had to be put down in order to lure the master himself out of the shadows, Sintei started to make his way deeper into the cavern, avoiding as many of the lower beings as he could. They have been pressed into service and did not need to die a meaningless death for a master who doesn´t care about. After a  short fight which put Lucifron to rest the first challenge stood towering before him.

Magmadar, Lord of the Core Hounds and Guard Dog of Molten Core

With no further thoughts or doubts Sintei charged in and a short but hefty fight ensued. After the smoke and the fires thinned out Magmadar was no more. The once fear inspiring Abomination lay on the ground, being put to rest by a simple Orc Warrior.

A bite from a some tasty meat, roasted over Magmadars slain body and a drink of the famous Wildhammer Beer restored his strength and Sintei ventured on, deeper into the cave in the search of the mighty Stone Elemental Garr. Along the way Gehennas made the mistake to engage and as quickly as he came out of the shadows his throat was slitand his blood flowed into the lava making a hissing sound. After this minor nuisance Garr Sintei finally found Garr roaming a dead end with a sheer uncountable number of minions. It seemed to be one big pile of moving rock.

Garr, Lord of the Stone Elementals

Gripping his trusted Battle Axe tight, which was earned for honorful combat in many arena matches, Sintei charged into the rocks. This fight proved to be more of a challenge than the last one, but in the end Garr and all of his minions crumbled into dust and only a handful of rocks remained on the ground when it was over. No blood, no flesh, nothing was left which would remind of the once mighty Elemental Master.

“This was a hard days work” Sintei half thought half mumbled loudly while he sat down and ate the rest of the still warm meat and drank the rest of his beer. “Odd, this Magmadar-fried-meat seems to never grow cold…” he thought and laid down to rest for the night. Quickly he was in a deep slumber, dreaming of having a grill in Orgrimmar, making the tastiest burgers in town over an ever glowing part of Magmadar’s body. It probably had the name “MC Inn” or something …

To be continued...

Face off!

So yesterday the third and last part of the incursion Expansion was implemented and with it the new charakter generation system and it is....PLAIN AWESOME.
It is by far the best charakter generation wich i have ever seen in any game up to this day.  I wish i had done more pictures of the "generating process" but the heck i didn´t. I was too occupied with the actual generating process..

Maybe i will recreate the creation process for some extra pictures but so far i will leave you with the new face of Sintei Ruhl.

And yes, he is an angry fella : ).

Who am I….

and who do I want to be?

Or to be more precise what do I want to do?

There are games which lay out clearly defined paths, from you can choose, but those are then more often than not clearly defined and it is next to impossible to stroll from the right way. In return they often offer a variety of content wich the player can attend to. A prime example here would be World of Warcraft. The player can decide to go raid dungeons for better gear, or he can attend fully to a PVP career or he might do something in the middle. Raiding spiced up with some occasional PVP. Or hardcore PVP with some occasional Raiding as a replacement or even with Pugs. There is not much beyond that. Sure it is possible to do some fancy stuff like exploring the whole world or earn tons of gold with quests or via the market or pursue some other goals. Most of them are short lived though and somewhat repetitive.
This is not meant as criticism. If this is well done such a game can and will be helluva lot of fun as this approach makes a game very accessible and provides good entertainment without the need to weigh every step a thousand times from several directions.

Then there are games which do not provide a path, they just provide a world or lets say an environment free for everyone to do as he/she pleases. There are no rules, no safe zones, no quest lines or designed and defined battlegrounds forfair PVP or Raiding Dungeons for a group with limited members. Those so called sandboxes are proud of what they are and take pride in not leashing the player around. My prime example for this approach is EVE Online. the second game I am playing. Here the player not only can but has to fully make up his mind about what he wants to do and it always has to do with interaction with other players. This provides a mindboggling variety of options. This also means that the player has to have a clear idea who he wants to be and what he wants to do with his virtual life and every action has its own consequences more or less severe.
The options start with clear defined careers like being a miner, an industrialist, a market broker, a corporation leader, a pure fighter. But things are by far not as black and white as it seems here. As I said there are no rules which means everybody can use any method imaginable to engage with other players for whatever goal he might have. Those goals often involve a personal gain or a loss for the another guy (which often is a gain for oneself). And this leads to a very complex system where alliances of corporations fight over regions of space, where pirates roam the less secure systems in search of victims, where ninjas try all and everything to steal from people and then shoot them for defending their property, where masters of social engineering infiltrate other corporations in order to utterly destroy them or just to spy for another corporation/alliance.
But there are as well people wich have made a name for themselves with the good deeds they have done. As I said everything is possible and always everything wich is brought to the party is at stake and that makes this game a serious business since every lost ship is gone for good. Dead. Destroyed and must be replaced with hard earned money. There is a rule wich always must be obeyed and reflects this perfectly:

Never undock in anything you cannot afford to lose.

So what do I want.
Well I want PVP, that’s clear I wouldn´t play an online game without that option. PVP is the bread and butter of online gaming and my sole interest (not that i am very good at it though).
Both games can provide this and both do it with completely different approaches and I have chosen my ways at the moment.

In WoW I am a loyal soldier of the Horde dedicated to engage the Alliance wherever I can, whenever I can. This means I drop in the game and immediately start doing Arenas or Battlegrounds or search the world for Alliance scum. Sometimes some quests for good measure and to refill the war chest to pay for the bills of repair and enhancing gear. It is fast paced, direct and makes a shitload of fun. It is easy and quickly accessible and a death is minor inconvenience therefore minimizing frustration.

I am a warrior of the Horde whooping your ass. Fear my axe!

In EVE the choice is a bit different, but the outcome is the same. I am not part of a big corporation  and thus limiting my options to get pewpew as I do not have backup and strength often lies in numbers here. But working for no one also makes me free in my decisions and i don't have to answer to anyone. So I chose to live the life of a lowly Ninja, sneaking up and stealing from unsuspecting miners, mission runners and the like in high security space. This means I cannot attack them outright but when I steal they have the option to attack me in my tiny  frigate who is taking their hard earned schnitzels. If they do i try to wrestle them down. Kills are not achieved easily but if they happen they satisfy so much more though. That is also because with every try I risk my high value ships and anytime the victim could completely turn the game for me and him with the help of some friends or good preparation. Here often that guy wins who controls the circumstances, who decides when and where to fight while letting the enemy in the believe, he is the one in control till it is too late.

I am a Ninja, stealing your precious loots. Shoot me pls!.
